A clean Peanut Satay Sauce I love to add to a noodle salad, tofu, roasted veggies or even as a dipping sauce for some ‘chicken lollypop sticks’ (as my kids called them)!

A quick, easy, clean Peanut satay sauce you can add to salads, stir-fry, roasted vegetables, and Chicken. Quick note on product quality: Make sure you use a peanut butter that is 100% peanuts. Same goes for maple syrup, ‘maple flavoured syrup’ is not the same! I like to use the pure harvest organise Tamari Sauce as it doesn’t contain any alcohol or wheat (Gluten free option).
Ingredients
-
½ cup Peanut Butter (100% Peanuts)
-
2 tablespoons of tomato paste
-
1-2 cloves of garlic, roughly chopped
-
Thumb size nob of Ginger, roughly Chopped
-
1 shallot (white part only) roughly chopped
-
1 tablespoon of maple Syrup (100% pure maple)
-
½ cup of warm water
-
2 tablespoons of Tamari sauce
-
1 tablespoon of black vinegar (or white wine vinegar)
-
Salt to taste*
Directions
Add all ingredients in a bowl
With a Hand held Immersion Blender, combine all ingredients, adding more water/ tamari to adjust the saltiness and viscosity to your liking. * can add salt instead
Store in an air tight jar (I like to reuse my peanut butter or tahini jars) and store in the fridge for weeks.
Recipe Note
My kids love this sauce as a dipping sauce for their ‘chicken lollypop sticks’ as well! You can also whack it in the blender for easibility.
